Why did you choose the Degree Link Route?

I felt that because I'd been away from education for so long, the idea of going straight back into University was very daunting in case a lot had changed since I had attended. That was when I started looking into NESCol and their accountancy course they offered at HND level and subsequently was informed about the Degree Link pathway that was available to progress into University at stage 3.

What has been the best thing about the experience?

I think the fact that I have got my degree is the best thing about it because from me leaving high school in 2001 and always wanting to get a degree in Accountancy and leading onto Chartered status, I am so pleased to have achieved this now.

What's the best thing about studying at NESCol?

I think that as I was quite nervous going into University level, NESCol were able to offer and provide an essential stepping stone for me in terms of a more one–to–one level of study.

What's the best thing about studying at RGU?

The campus itself is brilliant, the lecturing staff are very supportive especially for me as I had a hard time in 4th year as I had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder whilst going through my final exams so it was hard. But the support I had received from the staff was absolutely amazing.

Would you recommend Degree Link to other students? Why?

Definitely. The fact that I had left education for so long, the idea of going straight into University was a little daunting. So being able to go to NESCol first, it helped guide me in terms of learning and building my confidence in ultimately progressing into University and getting my degree.
